Jackson reveals Scott Ian signatures

Jackson, a Fender brand, has announced the Scott Ian T-1000 Soloist, a guitar made in collaboration with the long time Anthrax guitarist.

Designed by Ian himself – along with master builder Mike Shannon – the neck-through-body model is based on his 1987 Soloist, his famous guitar complete with New York Yankees logo.

This new signature instrument – available with either single or double pickup variations – includes a super-sized mahogany Soloist body with 1/8-inch maple top and Quicksilver finish.

It also offers an oil-finished maple neck and a compound radius ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and “High Boltage” lightning bolt inlays designed by Shephard Fairey. Other features include an Ivoroid neck and headstock binding, black hardware, Schaller strap locks and a G&G case.

Specific to the two-pickup model is a Seymour Duncan Scott Ian El Diablo bridge pickup and Seymour Duncan ’59 neck pickup combination and a Tonepros Tunamatic bridge is available on the single-pickup model only.

The single-pickup Scott Ian T-1000 Soloist 1H/ST will retail at £2,218, while the double-pickup 2H/FR will have a retail price of £2,422.
