VOX Amplification has celebrated its diamond anniversary with a special event held at the The Stables in Milton Keynes earlier this month.

The day kicked off with some amazing footage of VOX users past and present and really set the celebratory scene for one of the most iconic brands in the industry.

As well as looking back on decades of landmark products and famous users, VOX took the opportunity to give guests a glimpse into the future and highlighted new technology, including products which will feature the company’s revolutionary Nutube technology.

The first products featuring Nutube to be released are the MV50 range of mini amp heads, which have met with commercial and critical acclaim.

The company officially launched two very special new amps to commemorate the diamond milestone.

The 60th Anniversary AC15 and AC30 models are engineered and built from the ground-up entirely in the United Kingdom, completely hand-wired using only the finest available components, including authentic Celestion AlNiCo Silver speakers, which Celestion has resurrected exclusively for VOX’s 60th Anniversary.

There were many special moments at the event, with highlights including a heartfelt speech from PMT co-owner Simon Gilson and members of today’s UK VOX R&D team meeting with original staff members from the VOX Dartford factory in the 1960s.

Guests were also treated to live music from the Cavern Beatles, as well as demos of the new MV50, and the chance to see some amazing museum pieces including George Harrison’s original AC30.

Finally, there were some video messages from VOX artists from around the world who couldn’t make it to the party, including perhaps VOX’s most prolific user, the legendary Brian May.
