The Hidersine Company has detailed its delight at attending this year’s European String Teachers Association (ESTA) Summer School.

The annual event at Chichester University brings together esteemed figures in the stringed instrument education industry for a series of academic and instructional lectures, workshops and concerts aimed at expanding the personal development of teachers and pupils alike.

The event takes place over six days from July 31st to August 5th.

This year’s programme maintains its popular “Basics” classes that offer a detailed view of the many facets of teaching and playing stringed instruments.

The host of workshops include demonstrations of upper and lower string techniques with Jessica O’Leary and Naomi Butterworth, Folk and Jazz Fiddle tutorials with Chris Haigh and detailed lessons of the Alexander Technique from Henry Fagg.

Barnes & Mullins – the owner of The Hidersine Company – continues its music education bursary agreement in partnership with ESTA whereby a portion of money from every Hidersine instrument sold is donated to the ESTA ‘Joan Dickson Chamber Music Fund’.

The Hidersine Company said it is proud to be represented at this year’s ESTA Summer School, further cementing the strong connections that have been established between both parties in recent times.

In addition to showcasing Hidersine instruments, Barnes & Mullins will also be displaying its other string instrument brands at the ESTA Summer School that include CodaBow bows, Wittner accessories and the industry-leading Thomastik-Infeld strings.
