Faber Music's long-serviing distribution director, John Hepworth, has left the firm to join rival, Music Sales.
Hepworth is leaving the company at the end of June after 13 years to run the Music Sales distribution business in Bury St Edmunds.
Richard King, CEO of Faber Music, said in a statement: “I recruited John when we first set up our own distribution business in 1999 and he has been a close and valued colleague ever since. We'll miss him but wish him every possible happiness in his new job with 'the competition.
“With John's departure comes a great opportunity for us to define the directorial role we now need to take our distribution and sales operations business forward and recruitment is well under way.
“In the meantime, John is working for us flat out, as usual, ably assisted by Norma Shaves (Operations Manager), Matthew, Roy, Phil and our terrific team at Harlow. Our sights are set high for his successor and I look forward to informing you in due course”.
