Future Publishing will be supporting LIMS as Media Partners, backing the show with the power of its consumer magazine circulation to encourage attendance. Future says it will also use its relationships with artists to bring them to the show, and to engage with the public and the exhibiting brands.
Meanwhile, Music for Youth - the world's largest music festival for young performers - is to become the show's Education Partner. Throughout its season, MFY provides a showcase for young musicians working in all musical genres via a Regional, National and Schools Prom Festival series. In addition, students who have not yet discovered the world of music-making are inspired to do so via MFY's Primary and Secondary Proms series.
Music for Youth will stage: "...a stunning series of music-making events and experiences throughout the show," the MIA says.
Mia Walter, Publishing Director, Future Publishing says: "Future is committed to supporting the MIA. As Media Partner, we will promote LIMS across our portfolio to help deliver a bigger and wider audience for this year's event"
Lincoln Abbotts CEO Music for Youth commented: "LIMS offers Music for Youth a unique opportunity to introduce the next generation of musicians to the key players within the music industry. With an emphasis on performance and participation, we are looking forward to working with existing and new partners to deliver a vibrant, eclectic and inspirational day".
Speaking for the MIA, Tim Walter, Chair of MIA Exhibitions Committee said: "It's great news to have Future on board. Their extensive media support will be a huge boost for the show – this partnership will really put this show on the map. I've been a huge supporter of Music for Youth for years. The energy and enthusiasm they will bring to our education day will make LIMS the place for schools to be".
This year's LIMS will take place at Excel, London 11 – 14 June
