The FunFest Influencer Summit has announced the expansion of its brand sectors for this year’s show.

The UK family-friendly blogger conference and brand ambassador event takes place this September and will give brands in toys, video games, books, musical instruments, tech and more the opportunity to meet with influential parenting bloggers.

Now in its third year, the conference and expo has traditionally targeted toy and nursery brands, but following demand from the influencer community 2017’s event will invite brands from other sectors.

The event keeps family at its heart and is still very much focused on parenting and children – but will look beyond toys, nursery and traditional children’s products to include video games, books, apps, tech, bikes, musical instruments, sports and more.

This could be a potential new event for the MI market to consider and explore. Rather than simply shifting units at the event, the focus will be on working with bloggers and influencers to push their brands and products to the parenting market.

The team behind the event has changed too, with Mimram Media now co-organising FunFest in partnership with MI PR Global, resulting in an exciting portfolio of activity for influencers and a greater scope for brand collaboration.

The FunFest Influencer Summit returns to Whittlebury Hall Hotel & Spa, Northamptonshire on Saturday September 16th 2017.

“The influencers of today are as much likely to use YouTube, Twitch and Facebook Live as they are to present their media channels via the written blog, so we’re ensuring that FunFest 2017 will reflect all areas of social journalism,” said Mimram Media Director Darrell Carter.

“At the same time, we’ve widened the brand sectors covered at FunFest. Toys remain important, but FunFest 2017 will also include brands from the worlds of video games, books, musical instruments, tech and more – in essence, anything that your kids love doing – and that parenting influencers love writing or talking about, in a venue that many of the musical instrument market will already be familiar with.”
