Focusrite has introduced the ISA Two, the latest addition to the company's ISA range of premium mic preamps and audio processors.
The ISA Two is a dual-mono, transformer-based microphone preamplifier that features two of Focusrite’s ISA mic/line/instrument preamps – each capable of providing +80dB of clean gain.
Each channel has switchable balanced insert points for connecting outboard audio processors, a variable cutoff high-pass filter and variable input impedance with four settings, which allows the user to get the very best results from any microphone.
The ISA microphone preamplifier — featuring the Lundahl LL1538 input transformer and bespoke Zobel network filter — has remained virtually unchanged and at the heart of every ISA Series product, as well as the Focusrite Forté and Studio consoles, since the 1980s.
It's also equipped with eight-step LED meters, which provide accurate visual feedback and can be calibrated using the rear-panel controls.
