The first Marshall amp ever made is set to leave its museum home in Milton Keynes for the first time in history, and head out across Europe.
As part of its 50th Anniversary celebrations, the company has teamed up with Hard Rock Cafe and will allow visitors to Cafes across the continent to see the No. 1 up close.
The amp will start its journey in Barcelona (May 22nd to 29th), before moving on to Rome (June 4th to 13th), Paris (June 18th to 25th) and Berlin (June 29th to July 6th). It will then reach London just in time for Hard Rock Calling in Hyde Park on July 13th to 15th and a guest appearance at Hard Rock Cafe London's music museum The Vault from July 16th to August 3rd.
Its final destination will be Hard Rock Cafe New York, where it will stay for the rest of August.
“We’re delighted to bring a great piece of rock memorabilia to some of our European Cafes this summer. Marshall have been integral to the rock scene since the early days and to give our customers and guests at Hard Rock Calling the one off opportunity to get a real insight and up close look at the first ever Marshall Amp is fantastic,” said Marc Carey, regional sales and marketing for Hard Rock Europe.
