Fender custom shop unveils 2013 collection

Fender's custom shop has announced a host of new models for 2013 including eight new guitars and two basses.

The models include:

2013 Custom Deluxe Stratocaster featuring an Okume body and AAA flame maple veneer top, AAA flame maple neck with a mid-1960s oval "C" back shape, dark rosewood or one-piece maple fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and cusom shop fat 1950s pickups.

2013 Custom Deluxe Telecaster featuring an ash body and AAA flame maple vaneer top, AAA flame maple neck with a mid-1960s oval "C" back shape, dark rosewood or one-piece maple fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, Twisted Tele pickups with custom wiring and Greasebucket tone circuit and Reseach Special Division (RSD)-designed bridge.

2013 Closet Classic Stratocaster Pro featuring a lightweight ash body, quartersawn maple neck with early-1960s "C" back shape, dark rosewood or one-piece maple fretboard with 22 6105 frets, locking tuners and custom shop fat 1950s pickups.

2013 Closet Classic Telecaster Pro featuring a lightweight ash body, quartersawn maple neck with mid-1960s "C" back shape, dark rosewood or one-piece maple fretboard with 22 6105 frets, Twisted Tele pickups with custom wiring and Greasebucket tone circuit and RSD-designed bridge.

2013 Closet Classic Precision Bass Pro featuring a premium alder body, one-piece quartersawn maple neck with a 1960 Oval "C" back shape and 20 frets, two Seymour Duncan Stacked 1951 P Bass pickups with Vintage Jazz Bass wiring, vintage-style reverse tuners, dual volume controls and master tone control with an RSD-designed high mass bridge.

1972 Closet Classic Telecaster Custom featuring a lightweight ash body, maple neck with a 1969 "U" back shape, round-lam maple fingerboard with 21 6105 frets, Wide-Range humbucking (neck) and Twisted Tele (Bridge) pickups, nickel hardware with vintage-style bridge and original three-bolt neck-joint design with Micro Tilt.

1951 Relic Precision Bass featuring a slab ash body, one-piece quartersawn maple neck with a '51 P Bass "U" back shape and 20 frets, custom-wound Seymour Duncan Stacked Precision Bass pickup, gold anodized pickguard and gold hardware.

1952 Relic Telecaster featuring a lightweight ash body, one-piece maple neck with a 10/56 large "V" back shape and 21 frets, custom shop fat 1950s pickups and gold pickguard and hardware.

1956 Relic Stratocaster featuring a lightweight ash body, one-piece maple neck with a 10/56 large "v" back shape and 21 frets, custom shop fat 1950s pickups and gold pickguard and hardware.

1959 Relic Esquire featuring an alder body, maple neck with mid-1960s oval "C" back shape, dark rosewood fingerboard with 21 6105 frets, Twisted Tele pickups, modern Tele wiring with Eldred Esquire modification, Greasebucket tone circuit, three-ply parchment pickguard and nickel hardware.
