Ex-Hard to Find duo launches new retail business

Two former employees of Hard to Find Ltd have started a new DJ and music technology retail business – DJ Tech Direct.

With a new website – djtechdirect.com – and two stores based in Birmingham's Custard Factory, DJ Tech Direct was set up following the demise of Hard to Find, one of the UK’s best known DJ and music technology stores.

The DJ Tech Direct team comprises a number of individuals who were made redundant as a result of Hard to Find's liquidation, as well as a successful local business man operating out of a parallel industry.

This includes Jamie O’Callaghan – former manager at Hard to Find – his colleague, Owen Taylor, who was Hard to Find’s leading product expert and sales manager, and Alex Field, managing director of audioaffair.co.uk – one of the UK’s leading independent hi-fi retailers.

DJ Tech Direct is the UK’s newest Pioneer Pro DJ dealer, and also provides dedicated demo facilities for other leading brands, including Numark, Akai, M-Audio, Native Instruments, Novation, Focusrite, Ableton, Wharfedale Pro, American DJ and Kam.

The new stores are now open.
