Dolphin releases statement
Dolphin Music has released an official statement following the sudden and tragic death of its co-founder Rob Williams in a snowboarding accident on Monday.

"Rob Williams, our co-founder and colleague, died in tragic circumstances at 10pm on March 2nd while on a snowboarding trip in Verbier, Switzerland," read the statement, released earlier today (March 4th).

"All of those who have worked with Rob knew him to be a gentle man of exceptional dignity. Rob had a real zest for life and accomplished so much in his short time in this world. He was a major driving force at Dolphin Music and continues to be an inspiration to all of us.

"Both as a colleague and a leader, to most people Rob was also a friend. His un-flappable capability, business acumen and technical/creative vision have all been pivotal in making Dolphin Music a leading force in music retail – and also a great place to work.

"Our mission and our duty now are to continue striving towards Rob’s vision for Dolphin Music. We are proud to have worked with him, and learned so much from him.  This means that he will always be part of the team and remain instrumental in our future success.

"From all at Dolphin Music at this time, our hearts and minds are with Rob’s family and friends, to whom we extend our deepest sympathy."

Company director Jason Tavaria, who co-founded Dolphin with Williams, added: “He was my lifelong best friend, who will never be replaced.”

The company also wishes to thank MI Pro readers for the numerous kind messages of support posted on the website.
