POPULELE

This real Ukulele's 72-LED smart fretboard connects with Popuband Music’s app via Bluetooth to show exactly how to play your favourite songs, giving beginners a quick and satisfying way to start their musical journey, and helping the experienced take their repertoire to the next level.

Slated for production in May, first units of the Populele will begin shipping out this June and will retail for $199, though early backers on Indiegogo can preorder for $149.

ARCANO NES CHIPTUNE SYNTH II

The Arcano NES Chiptune Synth II is a MIDI-controlled music synthesizer that emulates the classic sound of the Nintendo Entertainment System’s audio hardware. Simply connect a MIDI controller to play the classic Nintendo / Famicom video game theme songs live, or create your own original chiptunes.

The first production run of the Arcano MIDI NES Chiptune Synth 2 was funded through a Kickstarter campaign in 2016. The makers are now asking for your help to raise the funds required for a second production run.

Head over to the synth’s Kickstarter page to help it reach its $3,000 funding goal.

WOODENK CAPOS

These wooden guitar and ukulele capos have been made by Leonardo Gulli, who created them with the intention of “matching the beauty and nature of guitars”. They feature adjustable tension and aperture, and can be engraved.

WoodenK capos come in three different materials. Lightweight and affordable Bamboo, solid flamed bloodwood, and super solid cocobolo. There are three models in each wooden finish for classical guitars, steel guitars and ukuleles.

Gulli is looking for $5,000 to fund his project. There’s only 6 days to go, so head over to the WoodenK Capos Kickstarter page now.

CLICK PICK

This hybrid plectrum can be used by left and right-handed players and attaches to either your first finger or your thumb by the patented ring. It features a locking click system, which allows you to set the pick to any angle you want for comfort or when changing guitar playing styles.

The Click Pick adjusts at 9-degree increments to suit any style or player. It enables beginners to play without the teething problems of grip position or pressure. For the advanced player, the Click Pick allows you to go straight from finger picking or tapping to playing, resolving the problem of where you put your pick and allowing you to bring it back to play immediately.

The project is looking for £5,000 to get the Click Pick into production. There’s only 9 days left to get involved, so head over to the Click Pick Kickstarter page here.

PISOUND

Pisound is an ultra-low latency high-quality soundcard and MIDI interface specially designed for Raspberry Pi pocket computers. Equipped with 192kHz 24-bit stereo input and output driven by the legendary Burr-Brown chips, classic MIDI In and Out ports, user-customisable button and bundled software tools, this little board is an all-around solution for your Raspberry Pi based audio projects.

Pisound mounts directly onto Raspberry Pi via its 40-pin header, no additional power adapter, cables or soldering is required. Just use included spacers and screws to fasten it. After that, simply power up your Raspberry Pi, wait for it to boot, connect it to the Internet and enter a few commands in a terminal window. Then you can choose pisound as your main sound card through native Volume widget and use it with any Linux Audio/MIDI software.

The project has already smashed its funding target by almost 300% at the time of writing. Fear not, there’s still a month left to get in on the action over at the pisound Indiegogo page.
