Coach House Pianos appoints David Halford to head up education initiative

The UK piano specialist Coach House Pianos has announced the appointment of David Halford to the newly created role of business development manager.

Halford will be responsible for building on Coach House’s significant reputation and business success in the education and institutional MI sector, with a strong emphasis on acoustic piano sales.

For over 25 years, Halford has worked predominantly in the acoustic piano industry. After spells in retail at Chappell of Bond Street and Steinway and Sons, he moved into regional management, first at Kemble & Co and later at Yamaha Music Europe UK.

From 2011 - 2015, Halford managed education and institutional business development for Yamaha UK’s Classic Division.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO Nick Rusling said: “I have known David for 20 years and we are extremely excited that he will be joining the team at Coach House. He brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and connections, and above all he is highly respected in the industry, particularly within the music education sector.”
