Two electric guitars signed by Cliff & the Shadows’ Hank, Bruce, Brian and Cliff at Wembley Arena before their last UK Reunited Tour show, are to be auctioned in aid of Children in Need.
The guitars are a Fender 50s Classic Stratocaster finished in fiesta red, donated by Fender and a Burns Marquee kindly supplied by Barry Gibson.
The two guitars will go under the hammer during the 8.30pm interval at the Celebrating the Shadows for Children in Need concert on Friday November 20th at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre, Lower Earley, Reading.
A limited edition box set, including the Reunited CD, bonus three-track CD and Jigsaw, signed by Cliff, Hank, Bruce and Brian and donated by Bruce Welch himself will also be auctioned, as will a leather guitar strap signed by Hank and Bruce, donated by Oasis Music. This is the prototype of the strap supplied with The Shadows 50th Anniversary Collectors Outfit and is unique, being brown instead of the black production version.
