BBC calls for women in music production to present TV, radio and online programmes

The BBC is on the look our for female experts in music production and other fields who would like to contribute to its programming.

The BBC Academy in conjunction with BBC News is holding a free media familiarisation day for women with particular expertise who are interested in appearing on television, radio and online as contributors or presenters.

The aim is to offer an introduction to the media, including practical experiences in front of a camera and in a radio studio, as well as masterclasses with industry professionals including experienced programme makers.

The BBC is looking for expert women in music production, as well as a number of other areas including politics, law, economics, technology, football and more.

The BBC is holding an Expert Women’s day on Friday 31st March 2017 at the BBC Broadcasting House in London.

The broadcaster says its has acknowledged that there aren’t enough expert female contributors appearing on air and BBC Expert Women is its attempt to redress the balance.
