Barnes & Mullins names Phil Harrop as new Export Manager

MI distributor Barnes & Mullins has announced the appointment of Phil Harrop to the new position of export manager.

With 11 years experience as an area sales manager for Barnes & Mullins, plus an active musical life outside of business hours, Harrop’s new role will see him responsible for servicing existing international export customers, as well as building new partnerships for B&M’s own brands, which include Hidersine Orchestral, Faith Guitars and Shergold Guitars.

Harrop has built many great relationships with UK musical instrument retailers across the Midlands and North of England, and these customers will continue to be served by B&M’s area sales managers through a reorganisation of existing territorial boundaries. Every customer affected has been notified of these changes, but anyone unsure of who to contact should get in touch with the B&M sales desk.

“I’m really excited to have the chance to explore new areas of the business and I’m looking forward to speaking with the wide range of customers around the world who choose to buy Barnes & Mullins products,” said Harrop.

“My primary goal is to provide valuable information and support to assist our partners in ensuring they make the very best from the opportunities that come from distributing our products.”

Building on the 130-year legacy of Messrs Barnes & Mullins’ exporting activities, international export has been an ever-expanding part of B&M’s core business, with Hidersine rosin already distributed very widely across the globe, and Faith Guitars strongly represented in many major European, Asian and North American markets.

Phil Harrop begins his role as export manager with immediate effect.
