Band of Skulls, Mystery Jets and more to play charity gig for Delays frontman

Earlier this month we reported that Delays’ frontman Greg Gilbert has been diagnosed with bowel cancer and friends, family and fans are raising money for his treatment.

Greg and his family are hoping to raise £100k to help pay for his treatment.

The band’s first lighting designer, Ed Warren, has now organised a charity gig to help smash that funding target.

The fundraising concert will be held in Southampton in February at a venue called 1865.

So far, bands confirmed to play are Band of Skulls, Mystery Jets, Recreations and Klaxons (DJ).

The likes of The Cribs, Bill Ryder Jones, and British Sea Power are also penciled in to play.

Warren is also calling for gift donations from bands and has confirmed that Coldplay, Mumford & Sons, Keane, Franz Ferdinand, Manic Street Preachers, Suede, Maccabees, Mark Radcliffe, The Vaccines, Daniel Avery, The Pixies and Premises Studios London have all donated.
