Ashdown appoints new marketing and artist relations exec

Ashdown has bolstered its team with the appointment of David Bell as its new marketing and artist relations executive.

In his new role, Bell will be tasked with driving the marketing and PR behind Ashdown’s bass amp range, Hayden’s guitar amp series and its latest venture into the headphone market with Meters.

Bell brings with him over four years’ experience working at London’s The Bass Centre and a further four and a half years’ experience at DV247 in his hometown of Romford.

During his time at DV, Bell worked with the guitars division, maintaining the online representation of guitar products via means of SEO, product based PR and publishing.

“I have always been a huge fan of Ashdown as a company and a brand and I’m privileged to be joining Mark, Dan, Lee and the team,” said Bell. “I have a lot of respect for these guys.”

“We weren’t advertising the role, but after a post on my Facebook page saying we were looking to expand our Artist Relations and Marketing department, I was encouraged by a number of old friends from the Bass Centre to speak with David and the rest just fell into place,” Ashdown managing director Mark Gooday explained. “We are taking David to the NAMM show to introduce him to many of you personally. We are looking forward to seeing what David brings to the table, with a fresh approach to our relationships with the press and expanding our online presence.”

Bell will join the Ashdown team at the NAMM show later this month.
