Ackerman Music opened a new shop in the centre of Brighton on December 4th, complete with a guest appearance from renowned composer Christopher Norton.
The weather extremities did little to affect the turnout and the spirits of those who attended the opening, which featured over 20 performances from students, teachers and musicians from the Brighton and Hove area.
Each performer received a complimentary gift voucher, prize and had the opportunity to be accompanied by Christopher Norton (author of the Microjazz series) who also signed books and played some of his own material.
Located on Brighton’s Queens Road, this new shop becomes Ackerman Music’s fourth UK store. Known for being a specialist in wind and stringed instruments, as well as sheet music, this opening represents a new focus for Ackerman Music.
“We wanted a shop with a high footfall where we could promote our excellent range of sheet music and attract a larger customer base with our ever expanding range of gifts and accessories,” said director Brian Ackerman.
