On Halloween night instruments including guitars, amps, a drum kit, a violin and a keyboard were stolen from the John O’Gaunt pub in Lancaster.

The instruments, collectively worth thousands of pounds, belonged to a number of well-known musicians and bands from the local area, including Lancaster Music Festival organiser Ben Ruth, rock band Dead Man’s Hand, pianist Jack Spencer, drummer Andy Slater and guitarist Graham Mumford.

Landlady Claire Tomlinson appealed to local press for the safe return of the items.
