Sheet music publisher releases REM's classic hit with all profits to DEC Haiti Appeal
To coincide with the release of the Haiti Charity Single, a cover of REM’s 1993 single Everybody Hurts, Faber Music will be making a special sheet music edition of the pop single available. Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey, Cheryl Cole, Jon Bon Jovi, Michael Bublé, Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, Joe McElderry, Take That, Susan Boyle, James Blunt, Mika and Westlife have also lent their time to the single.
With this single, Faber Music has made the costs very low in order to donate as much as much as possible to the DEC Haiti Appeal. Faber Music’s printers, Calligraving, have agreed to charge for materials only, not the cost of printing and both Faber's designer and artwork suppliers have waived their fees.
The music publisher also has confirmation that REM have also waived their royalty on this publication. For that reason, the trade discount will be lower than usual, just 20%, which is only in order to cover costs. After this discount has been applied and costs deducted, every remaining penny from the sale of this title will go to the Haiti Charity Appeal.
