Print specialist to distribute Notion software exclusively products in the UK

Notion Music has announced that Faber will now have exclusive trade distribution rights in the UK for all of Notion Music's notation software products, including Notion and Progression.

Kris Karra, managing director of Notion Music said: "I'm really pleased to be working with Faber Music's award-winning team. I have been very impressed with its distribution systems, sales, and marketing departments and hear nothing but praise for the level of service and professionalism they provide. The Notion Music line of software products fits nicely into the Faber Music portfolio – complimenting rock/pop, classical and educational lines. Working with Faber Music gives us immediate entry into over 600 retail accounts and grants Notion Music a partnership with one of the best music publishers in the world."

Phillip Littlemore, sales and marketing director of Faber Music, commented: "Faber Music has an enviable position as the best music distributor in Europe.

We have, until now, specialised in the distribution of printed music but the addition of Notion Music to our stable of fine names allows us to venture into new channels of distribution. We look forward to an exciting future together."

Notion Music first grabbed the attention of the music industry in 2005 when it introduced Notion, a music notation software program with a built-in sample library from the London Symphony Orchestra. Notion's patented technology enables musicians to hear their composition played back instantly with the sounds of a full Orchestra. The realistic playback, coupled with the patented NTempo feature to dynamically control tempo, has made Notion a popular tool for composers and as an accompaniment tool in live performance settings.
