Jazz-pop pianist treats a select few to a sneak preview of his forthcoming album
Jamie Cullum treated a select few to a virtuoso solo performance and sneak preview of his forthcoming album, The Pursuit, at Chappells of Bond Street, London.
Performing in the Concert Hall at the heart of the piano department, Callum played a Yamaha CFIII Grand piano to entertain the specially invited audience with over an hour’s worth of new compositions and standards from his new album, which is to be released in September.
He also played the theme from the film Grand Torino that he co-wrote with legendary actor and director Clint Eastwood.
Using the piano frame for percussive accompaniment at times, Callum’s unique brand of showmanship drew a rapturous response from the audience.
Prior to the concert, the pianist spent time talking to staff (pictured) and admiring the selection of instruments on display at the store.
