Latest addition to synth line debuted alongside brand new reverb pedal
Roland has announced two new products at the London International Music Show – the Juno-Di mobile synthesizer and the Boss FRV-1, a recreation of the 1963 Fender Reverb.
The latest addition to the Juno Series is specifically designed for the musician on the go, providing a vast array of professional sounds in a lightweight (12 pounds), portable design for both the seasoned musician and beginner.
The 61-note synth-action Juno-Di boasts over 1,000 diverse customisable sounds to fit any style of music, including grand and electric pianos, modern synth sounds, lush strings, guitars, powerful brass, percussion, and banks of exotic instruments. Simple navigation with dedicated category buttons and the large LCD display ensures players can recall and perform their favourite sounds on the fly.
The Juno-Di offers an array of features for the live performer.
It can process vocals live through its microphone input, built-in vocoder, and dedicated reverb. And with its USB memory port and song player function, the Juno-Di enables direct playback and control of MP3, WAV, AIFF, and SMF sound files with dedicated transport controls on the front panel.
Roland has also announced the Boss FRV-1. Boss and Fender USA have collaborated to create a recreation of the 1963 Fender Reverb, a staple sound of rockabilly, country, blues, surf rock and even grunge rock.
The FRV-1 recreates the classic spring-reverb sound of the 1963 Fender Reverb via patented COSM technology. Three classic controls for Dwell, Tone, and Mix allow players to refine their tone, adding buttery warmth or sparkling twang.
Both these new products are expected to be available this July.
