Yamaha appoints new rep for Scotland and Ireland
Yamaha’s EKB division has appointed the former Danfay sales representative, John Dawson (pictured), as its regional sales manager for Scotland and Ireland. The announcement was made at the EKB conferences held recently in Dublin and Limerick, during which the company laid out plans for future market development and dealership partnerships.
An accomplished musician, composer and former Yamaha Music School teacher Dawson brings over 16 years combined wholesale and retail experience to the Irish and Scottish dealers and is already a well known figure among them.
“We have recently completed our 2009 conferences in Ireland, which proved very popular and have learnt that there is great potential for developing and expanding the market for music makers,” commented EKB’s sales manager, Malcolm Hardie.
“John will ensure that dealers receive a high level of personal business service and will be key in devising long term joint promotional opportunities, while ensuring our levels of service are increased following the transition from Danfay.”
“After having a short break, I am delighted to be returning to Yamaha,” said Dawson. “I have high hopes for the future and am committed to ensuring that our dealers have the best possible product and marketing support across all aspects of their EKB business.”
