MI Pro special insert in December issue a saviour for dealers
The latest (December) issue of MI Pro magazine has posted with the annual wallplanner inserted in the magazine.
This year, the wallplanner has been sponsored by Mel Bay Music – and the UK publisher has taken the format a step further by including monthly deals for dealers to take advantage of by quoting the code included on the first Monday of each month.
Any Mel Bay customer using the special offers each month can very easily raise their trade discount to an average of 55 per cent.
Mel Bay’s MD, Chris Statham, has had years of experience working with MI dealers and knows better than most the best way to attract their attention.
“It might be a tough year next year – then again, it might not be, but either way the Mel Bay wallplanner is going to be something of a saviour for those who make the most of their printed music stock,” said Statham.
Aside from the special offers throughout 2009, Mel Bay is also offering a one-off deal for the month of December.
Around the perimeter of the wallplanner are images of Mel Bay publications. If any trade customer wants to buy one of each of the books featured, he or she will receive a 60 per cent Christmas discount – available until December 31st 2008.
“All of the books featured on the wallplanner are either best sellers or brand new titles,” added Statham. “It’s not a question of risk, it’s simply another excellent offer that we want to promote to make the dealers’ lives that little bit easier for the Christmas period.”
