Release follows addition of sixteen new effects pedals

Budget audio manufacturer Behringer has unveiled an all-in-one beginner electric guitar package featuring its own Metalien guitar, amp, tuner and a complement of accessories.

This follows the addition of sixteen new effects pedals to its collection of low-cost guitar, bass and keyboard effects.

Behringer claims to offer “the most complete package for the beginning guitarist” with its new Metalien guitar pack. Along with the instrument itself customers will also find a ten-Watt amp, automatic tuner and Rock House instructional DVD.

The sleek black Metalien double cut-away guitar features a solid maple neck, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, bridge humbucker and two single-coil pickups and a spring-loaded whammy bar.

Behringer’s ten-Watt guitar amp comes loaded with a 6.5-inch speaker, preamp level, tone and master volume controls and beginners can practice using the private headphone output.

Adjustable strap, instrument cable, picks and a padded gig bag complete the accessory line-up.

The Metalien guitar pack is to retail in the US for $239.99 and in Europe for €169.99. Both these prices exclude local tax. Behringer is due to announce the UK price next week.
