German amp maker hopes to find permanent home in UK at last
Headline Music, UK distributor for PRS guitars and Lakland basses, has added German amp brand Hughes & Kettner to its growing product range.
“We're very pleased to be taking on the Hughes & Kettner brand,” said Gavin Mortimer (pictured right), Headline’s managing director. “I'm personally really excited about the current product range - which is what led to our initial interest in acquiring distribution - and Hughes & Kettner fits perfectly with the other brands that we look after in the UK.”
Explaining the move from SCV London, Hughes & Kettner's head of international sales, Martin Reichhart (pictured left), commented: “SCV has done a good job for Hughes & Kettner, but after the merger with Stirling Trading they are now looking to focus on their pro-audio brands.
And clearly Hughes & Kettner doesn't fit that category. With Headline Music we have a new, dynamic partner that is perfectly placed to take Hughes & Kettner forward and to strengthen the brand in the UK marketplace.”
Under the new agreement, product will be supplied to UK dealers from 1st September.
