Visitor survey reveals great response to Audio-Technica roadshow

A visitor survey conducted during the recent Audio-Technica Road To Success tour has revealed an overwhelmingly positive reaction to both the concept and content of the UK-wide roadshow, held in May and June.

More than 90 per cent of respondents to the survey found their roadshow visit useful and would attend such an event again. A surprising 20 per cent of survey respondents were currently not Audio-Technica dealers or re-sellers, a figure that far exceeded expectations.

“The response to the roadshow has been excellent,” commented Audio–Technica senior UK marketing manager, Harvey Roberts. “The survey results show that customers were very receptive to Audio-Technica going out to see them, rather than having to travel to us in the usual trade show environment.”

Adrian Rooke, Audio-Technica UK managing director added: “In terms of reaching out to new prospects, the Road To Success tour more than proved its worth. Audio-Technica is committed to innovation in all areas of business, and the roadshow was an exciting new way of communicating with existing and potential customers.”


Alongside traditional advertising and PR used to promote the Road To Success tour, Audio-Technica also took an on-line approach with a dedicated tour website and blog. The blog was used to keep visitors up-to-date with all the news from the road, with daily competition winners of Audio-Technica’s ANC7 noise cancelling headphones also posted here.

In addition the website carried full details of roadshow content and locations, and hosted a tour-long competition to guess the total mileage covered by Audio-Technica’s mobile display vehicle during the tour. The grand prize – a pair of W1000 headphones worth £399.95 – went to Tom Edwards, who correctly guessed a total of no less than 2250 miles.
