Official numbers confirm unprecedented success
The final visitor figures for the London International Music Show, released this afternoon have confirmed initial speculation that the show was an enormous success.
LIMS overcame several difficulties, including closures on the DLR on Sunday to pack in an overall total of 23,035 visitors. This number included 14,751 adult tickets, 5,020 students on Friday, 2,560 trade visitors over four days and 452 music educators. The show’s website also attracted significant numbers of visitors. In a six-month period it received over 4,000,000 hits and 205,000 unique visitors.
Organiser, MB Media, has already announced the dates for next year’s show – it will once again take place at the ExCel centre from June 11 to 14, 2009.
Though it finished little over a week ago, The London International Music Show is already rated as an ‘influential consumer event’ by the ExCeL venue where it was hosted.
In this respect, it takes its position alongside The British International Motor Show, The London Boat Show and Grand Designs Live.
“A huge audience, some superb stands, and a truly world class line-up of performers all played their part in making the first London International Music Show a genuine success story for our industry, organiser, Clive Morton commented. “In a tough economy, this is a significant achievement and something all exhibitors should be proud of.”
