Nottingham store has premium acoustic lifted from store
A new Martin D35, serial number 1128973 has been stolen from Dave Mann Music in Nottingham on Thursday May 1st somewhere between 17:56 hours and 18:21 hours.
Dave Mann’s partner, Rachel Mann, told MI Pro that shoplifting was nothing new, but with such a prestigious and expensive guitar, the chances of pin-pointing the instrument’s whereabouts should be all the easier.
The guitar was stolen without its hard case. Shoulkd anyone come into contact with this guitar, they should contact PC 3157 Kate Long at St Ann’s Police, Nottingham on 0115 9670999 ext 6751.

That sucks! We'll be sure to keep an eye out!
On a similar note, we (Music Scene in Mansfield, Notts) had an Orange Tiny Terror stolen from the shop on Saturday 3rd of May. Unfortunately we don't have a record of the serial number, but if anyone locally has any details please give us a call! The culprits didn't take the gig bag, so they'll be trying to sell it naked!

Just to add to the good news is the recent announcement that Discount Chain "Best Buy" is coming to the UK in partnership with "Carphone Warehouse".
Just from this news alone was enough to see DSGi's share rating knocked down in the City.
"Best Buy" are very aggresive in the US and the last time I looked they were quite heavy into MI with some stores having a fully blown, 10k sq ft music store incorporated into the floorplan!
Any comments from anyone?
