Top US guitar brand slots into gap left by Taylor

Sound Technology has announced its appointment as the new exclusive distributor of Larrivée Guitars in the UK and Republic of Ireland with immediate effect (21st April 2008).

Larrivée Guitars, established in 1967, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-end acoustic guitars. The range, consisting of nine series with eight different body shapes, is built
in Oxnard, California, with the exception of the Canadian-built 03 series. Unlike rival manufacturers, Jean Larrivée personally travels
the globe to source wood directly, ensuring supply of the highest quality tone woods available. With over 40 years of guitar-building
experience, every guitar features all solid wood construction, single-piece mahogany necks, handfit dovetail neck joints and immaculate UV cured finishes. Larrivée's recently introduced RS-4 electric guitar has, Sound Tech reports, 'received an exceptional response'.

"We are honoured to become the Larrivée distributor," said David Marshall, managing director of Sound Technology. "These are
exquisite guitars and we are committed to taking the brand to the next level in the UK and Ireland. We have a proven track record in developing quality acoustic brands and we look forward to using these skills to bring this great product to market".

Dealers in the UK and Ireland can immediately begin placing orders with Sound Technology, with stock arriving in the week beginning Monday April
28th 2008. For more information please contact Sound Technology plc on 01462 480000 or visit www.soundtech.co.uk/larrivee.

with the taylor range moving on, its good news for sound tech... and I think probably good for larrivee too. Fcn is more a general company - i don't think they'll miss it

I just wonder apart from Allos (sic?) recorders what else they really have to do now.....I think they don't have G&L anymore.... hey ho....this is the musical merry go round. I'm sure ST will do a good job as they have a good infrastructure.

FCN are a great company too. The J Michael brass and woodwind does really well for them as do Wittner and Allous and several other brands.

Just watch the Ebay guitar traders trash Larivee prices like they are doing with Washburn, Digitech and Samson ... you know who you are??!!

Good news for Sound Tech. I like this company. I hope they pull the internet discounter accounts. They should.

First of all Rob, post 5, FCN are NOT a great company, they are rude ,very much NOT accomodating and are cold on the telephone. What's more, in 4 years of trading I have seen the rep Alan only twice and the second time was only because I complained. If I could buy Aulos anywhere else I would in a breath. Yes J Micheal is a good line I agree.
Don't forget this so called "great " company is now selling direct to the end user via the internet. If you have a retail outlet Rob, I find it hard to believe you are in support of this company.
ST will supply Richtone in Sheffield and you will see this great product trashed on Ebay like everything else they do and ST will allow this to happen and turn a blind eye because they're shifting numbers. Does this read like I'm an old cinic ??
HMMMMM........
I guess I am, too long in the trade me thinks....
