Expanded site features exclusive trade forum and enhanced consumer information
Percussion specialist, The Music Shipping Company, has recently launched an expanded website featuring a trade-only forum, where retailers can exchange views that cannot be seen consumers.
“Particularly in the light of all the recent changes in the industry, independent retailers need to talk and we’re happy to provide them with a private space where they can say and discuss what they want”, noted MSC’s Craig Fenney. “We’ve gone to considerable lengths to make it secure, so consumers can’t see what’s being discussed – they won’t even know this dealer forum is there, in fact.”
MSC says that the main purpose of the new site however, is to greatly enhance consumer information on brands that the company either distributes or owns, including Aquarian heads, Orion cymbals, DCases, Natal percussion and Shaw sticks.
In addition to product details, the new site has brand-specific forums for consumer users, where they can swap ideas and information and ask questions about MSC products.
“The aim is to serve the emerging customers who, as opposed to doing their research in shops and then buying on the web, do things the other way round – they research online and then visit a shop to get good service”, continued Fenney. “To that end, we’re going to be trying to steer visitors to their local specialist shops and we’ll be running a feature on a different dealer every month to encourage punters to visit their local dealers.”
The new MSC website is operational now at www.musicshipping.co.uk.
