28 days of key brands on show and in demo
Funky Junk, the North London retailer of new and used pro audio and recording technology, has teamed up with Harman Pro UK to create a month-long installation focusing on some of Harman's key recording brands.
Throughout February, the recently refurbished Funky Junk emporium on Hornsey Road, near Finsbury Park, will house a variety of classic recording gear from key Harman brands including JBL, dbx, Lexicon and AKG, and feature a selection of vintage AKG mics from Funky Junk's own collection.
Additionally, on February 13th and 20th Harman employees will be at the store for two special product focus days held in Funky's newly completed demonstration studio. On the 13th, visitors will have a chance to check out Lexicon's new PCM96 high-end Firewire connectable stereo reverb, which is being flown in especially from the USA for the event.
A week after this ‘sneak preview’, Harman representatives will be back at the store, together with a special guest speaker, to present a history of AKG microphones, ranging from the classic models created during the early years of the company's 60-year history to the latest hi-tech additions to the AKG range. On both days, the product presentations will take place in two sessions, from 2pm to 4pm, from 5pm to 7pm.
Attendance at the two product focus days, at which food and drink will be provided, is free, but the events will take place in Funky Junk's demonstration studio and vintage equipment room, so space at each of the two sessions on each day is limited to 20 people. Tose who would like to attend should register at the link below, stating which of the days and sessions (early or late) would be preferred.
