Legendary Beatle gets involved in Gibson exhibition.
Sir Paul McCartney endorsed his addition to the Gibson Guitartown London exhibits this week, signing his ten foot hand painted Les Paul at the site of the charity show.
The guitar, named 'And The Crowd Went Wild', was specially designed for the musical knight of the realm by visual artist and cartooonist Rosie Brooks. His guitar joins a number of other instruments which will be auctioned off in an effort to raise money for a number of charities at an event later in the year.
"I just fancied playing with a big guitar!" commented an enthusiastic McCartney. "I think this one will hopefully catch the imagination of the public and whoever is going to buy it at the auction and raise money for The Princes Trust, Teenage Cancer Trust and Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, which are all great charities."
