VOX revives the Continental Keyboard, launches VX50 portable amps and maroon Custom Series amps

The original transistor organ, which first appeared in the 1960s, is a timeless classic amongst musicians.

VOX has introduced a number of new products, including the Continental Keyboard, new VX50 portable amps and a limited edition maroon version of its popular Custom Series amps.

First up, the VOX has revived the Continental Keyboard with a brand new model.

The original VOX Continental, a transistor organ that appeared in the 1960s, is a timeless classic amongst musicians. Today, VOX has introduced a completely new keyboard that carries this concept into the present day.

The VOX Continental uses a simple and intuitive interface that allows quick accessibility of every function. The high-quality sound engine section is centred on organ, electric piano, and acoustic piano, and provides a wealth of stage-ready sounds.

In addition, the Continental features a powerful effects section to enhance these sounds, and even analog valve drive powered by Nutube, the cutting-edge vacuum tube. It's an instrument that perfectly fits your live performance requirements for a variety of styles including rock, pop, jazz, and more.

The VOX Continental has a starting price of £1,769 and is available from October 2017.

Next up is the new line of lightweight VX50 amps.

The compact and lightweight VX series has been bolstered by three new 50W models for bass, keyboards and acoustic guitar.

The bass model’s distinctive advantages include a VOX original eight-inch speaker, a unique bass reflex structure that ensures ample power and rich low-frequency reproduction, and warm vacuum tube sound. There's also a four-band EQ that allows detailed sound-shaping, a compressor effect that's indispensable for bass, and an overdrive effect that provides everything from subtle grit to high gain overdrive.

The keyboard model comes with a coaxial speaker that outputs clear sound even to the high-frequency range, and a bass reflex structure that reproduces rich low-frequency sound with ample power, a three-channel design that provides an independent volume control for each channel, and CH3 also supports mic input.

On the acoustic model you’ll find the warm vacuum tube sound of Nutube, eight-inch coaxial speaker, bass reflex structure, two-channel design with INSTRUMENT and MIC channels (each equipped with independent volume controls), independent EQ and high-quality effects for detailed sound-shaping, MIC in for phantom power (ideal for vocalists), and a PHASE switch to minimise acoustic feedback.

Available in September, all three models are priced at £259.

Last but not least, VOX has introduced a new limited edition Maroon Bronco version of its core Custom Series amp line.

VOX’s all-new, limited-edition Custom Series recalls the amplifier company’s rich history of iconic design with an irresistible custom colour scheme that is sure to appeal to all amp aficionados. The latest limited iteration features a tasteful and refined Maroon Bronco colour scheme that is the perfect complement to iconic diamond fret cloth.

Available for a limited-time only, this eye-catching lineup includes the classic AC30 (£1129), AC15 (£749), AC10 (£539) and AC4 (£449). All will be available in October 2017.
