Tascam has announced the DP-32, a 32 track digital portastudio with colour LCD display and solid-state recording.
Tascam has expanded its portastudio line with the addition of the DP-32.
The new DP-32 is designed for both individuals and bands and allows up to eight track to be recorded at a time through its combination XLR and ¼” combo jacks onto a standard SD/SDHC memory card. During recording, artists can choose from processing features such as compression and limiting; built-in effects like reverb, delay and chorus; guitar amp simulation and multi-effects for use with the instrument-level input or an external effects send.
During mixdown, the DP-32 offers 20 channel faders and 12 rotary controls for EQ, pan and effects including reverb and chorus. Further EQ, compression and normalization can be applied during the mastering process and once finished, songs can be written to CD or transferred to a computer via USB.
Full details and a list of features can be found on the Tascam website.
The Tascam DP-32 will be available in the UK from Mid-December with a tentative SRP of £739.
