Roland rounds up September Festival will an array of new digital pianos

There’s also a new Piano Partner app for iOS and Android.

Roland has finished off its month-long new product announcements with the launch of a number of new digital pianos.

First up is the HP603 digital piano.

“Since 1972, Roland has worked to create the ultimate piano experience, and our current HP pianos are among the most exciting yet,” said Roland.

“The HP piano philosophy is all about bringing the sound and performance of a concert-class piano into your living, teaching, or recital space, with modern connectivity and cabinet colour choices to suit your lifestyle.”

The HP603/HP603A is powered by the latest version of Roland’s acclaimed SuperNATURAL Piano Modeling technology, along with a unique keyboard that blends wood and molded materials for great feel and durability.

Both the HP603 and HP603A feature built-in wireless Bluetooth MIDI support for working with apps like Roland’s Piano Partner 2 and Piano Designer on your smartphone or tablet. The HP603A also includes Bluetooth audio support, allowing you to wirelessly stream music from your mobile device through the piano’s integrated sound system.

Next up is the Roland HP601, which provides an authentic grand piano sound and true hammer-action touch with Ivory Feel keys to support maturing skills and more nuanced playing expressions.

It also includes integrated Bluetooth for wirelessly connecting with apps like Roland’s Piano Partner 2 and Piano Designer on your favourite mobile device, accelerating learning and enhancing your playing experiences.

Offering exceptional piano performance, built-in education features, and modern connectivity, the affordable HP601 is ideal for stimulating musical growth and allowing budding talents to blossom.

Roland has also introduced the RP102 digital piano, which combines authentic piano performance and onboard practice features in a compact and affordable design.

“It’s filled with technologies derived from our award-winning premium pianos — including a luxurious and supremely playable weighted-action keyboard — providing inspiring sound and touch that will continually support your music as your skills evolve,” says Roland. “And with its streamlined cabinet and three integrated pedals, the RP102 offers a traditional upright look that fits nicely anywhere space is at a premium.”

There’s also a more portable option from Roland in the form of the new FP-60.

“If you need a quality piano for home, classroom or live performance, the FP-60 is a fantastic choice,” says the instrument maker. “This portable digital piano offers exceptional sound and touch housed in a sleek, stylish cabinet that looks great and is easy to transport.”

The specially designed onboard speaker system produces rich, impressive sound with ample projection for performing at small venues, while a range of non-piano sounds allow you to cover a variety of musical styles. Bluetooth wireless connectivity is also built in.

Finally, Roland has introduced a new companion app called the Piano Partner 2.

The Piano Partner 2 app is available for iOS and Android and offers an interactive way to help you learn and enjoy music with your Roland digital piano.

Songs and DigiScore Lite show the piano’s internal music collection on your device’s display, while Rhythm and Flash Card allow you to build skills with intelligent accompaniment and engaging music exercises.

Piano Partner 2 also enables your mobile device to work as a remote controller for your Roland piano.
