PreSonus launches QMix-UC monitor control app

The app supports the new StudioLive Series III mixers, as well as Studio 192-series interfaces.

PreSonus has unveiled a new app for Android and iOS that gives users the ability to mix and control monitors from their smartphone, for free.

QMix-UC is the latest version of PreSonus’ free monitor-mix control app for it brand’s StudioLive mixers. It allows up to 14 musicians to simultaneously control their monitor (aux) mixes wirelessly from their mobile devices.

The app supports the new StudioLive Series III mixers, as well as Studio 192-series interfaces. For StudioLive AI-series mixer customers, QMix-UC replaces QMix-AI automatically when the app is updated.

Users are able to create four channel groups, making it easier to control large mixes. The app also retains the popular Wheel of Me, which lets users select multiple "Me" channels and turn them all up in their monitor at the same time, while controlling the relative balance between themselves and the rest of the band. Aux mix sends levels and pan positions (for linked auxes), in addition to the new groups, are available in Landscape view.

PreSonus QMix-UC is available free from the Apple App Store, Amazon App Store, and the Google Play Store.
