Pioneer has announced the release of its newest four-channel professional mixer: the DJM-2000nexus.
The new DJM-2000nexus replaces the DJM-2000 as the firm's flagship digital DJ mixing console.
Building on the DNA of the DJM-2000, the new DJM-2000nexus uses the ProDJ Link LAN connection to ensure a solid link with up to four CDJ players of turntables and two laptops. The new Sync Master lets DJs set the master BPM for four CDJ players and control it from the mixer, while Beat Slice allows tracks to be sliced and arranged in real-time.
The DJM-2000nexus retains the 5.8-inch LCD multi-touch screen of its predecessor as well as favourite features such as quantized beat effects, a live sampler and studio-quality instant FX.
“The first generation DJM-2000 has become today’s premium professional mixer, found in the best and hottest venues around the world, and now we’re making the next edition of the mixer better than ever to enable DJs to perform at the highest level,” said David Arevalo, senior marketing manager, Professional Sound and Visual Division for Pioneer Electronics (USA).
The mixer is designed for the club environment with a newly designed peak limiter that eliminates distortion and clipping, even at high volumes, and new high performance channel faders that provide smooth transitions. The DJM-2000nexus also boasts a lower jitter DAC clock on the master out, and a high quality A/D converter (the best seen in the DJM series so far).
The CDJ-2000nexus (which you can read about here) is the perfect companion to the new DJM-2000nexus.
The DJM-2000nexus will be available from November at a SRP of £1,989 including VAT.
