Peavey introduces the 6505 Piranha 1x8 Cabinet

The new cabinet is ultra-portable and lightweight, weighing in at only 4.45kg.

The new cabinet features a rugged metal grill, reinforced metal corners, rubber feet and slotted carry handle.

Peavey UK has released its new 6505 Piranha 1x8 Cabinet in the UK.

Following the Winter NAMM 2016 launch of Peavey’s 6505 Piranha Micro Head (read our review of the Micro Head here) and subsequent success in the UK since its arrival in the summer – the 1x8 cabinet serves as the perfect accompaniment to the micro 20-watt guitar head.

In line with Peaveys 6505 Piranha head, the new Piranha 1x8 Cabinet is ultra-portable and lightweight, weighing in at only 4.45kg and measuring a mere 10.6 inches along its longest side.

It comes loaded with a solitary 25-watt (RMS) 8-inch speaker with 4 Ohms impedance and 1/4 input connection.

In true Peavey tradition, the Piranha cab is primed for the rigours of rehearsing and gigging with its rugged metal grill, reinforced metal corners, rubber feet and slotted carry handle.

Designed to be used exclusively with the Peavey 6505 Piranha Micro Head, it offers guitarists the perfectly small but powerful companion to complete their Piranha rig for use at home, in the studio or at rehearsals and small gigs.

The recently launched 6505 Piranha Micro Head packs high-gain tones into a miniscule and extremely convenient, 20-watt power amp head. Measuring only 8.5-inch wide when packed and weighing in at a petite 1.5kg (packed), the Piranha really does set a new standard for compact and portable amplification.

The Piranha 1x8 Cabinet retails for an affordable £109 and is available to order now through UK distributor Barnes and Mullins.
