NAMM 2017: New Promark stick bags and signature drumsticks

The updated Anton Fig Signature Stick is the newest addition to the ActiveGrip lineup.

Promark by D’Addario has announced two new drum stick bags along with signature sticks from Kimberley Thompson and Anton Fig – all to be showcased at NAMM 2017.

The firm has introduced two boutique stick bags for working drum set players – the Sliver Essentials Stick Bag and the Transport Deluxe Stick Bag.

Made from durable, weather-proof ballistic nylon and synthetic leather, these bags are built to withstand the wears of the road as well as on and off stage for drummers to travel in style. Both bags feature metal hanging hooks, which affix to the tension rods of a drum, keeping them secure while playing.

The Sliver Essentials Stick Bag is part of a new, high-quality line of stick bags designed with the gigging musician in mind. With enough room to fit four pairs of drumsticks comfortably, this bag allows drummers to travel with the essential tools for any gig without extra trips back to the car.

The Transport Deluxe Stick Bag features magnetic secured, leather carrying handles, a large front-zippered pocket, a zippered interior pocket, metal hanging tom-mounts, a leather business card slot, a metal key leash, a pencil slot, a deluxe leather pocket for your wallet and cell phone, and ample drumstick storage. With a specific spot for all of your personal belongings, there’s no need to worry about misplacing things during your gigs.

The Sliver Essentials Stick Bag retails for  £28.90 while the Transport Deluxe Stick Bag retails for £55.00. Both will be available on January 16th.

Promark has also introduced the Kimberley Thompson signature stick.

Having famously played with Beyoncé, Thompson teamed up with Promark to make a 7A drum stick with finesse, measuring .535” in diameter and featuring an extra half-inch in length for a little extra reach and ease of play.

“This stick achieves the perfect balance and weight which accommodates a variety of musical applications and players performance styles,” said Thompson. "The long taper and small round tip allow for a responsive stick with clear articulation on drums and cymbals."

The stick has an elegant gold flake painted finish and glitters under the stage light. It retails for £14.90 and will be available in the UK on March 1st.

Lastly, a new Anton Fig signature stick will also be showcased at NAMM.

The updated Anton Fig Signature Stick is the newest addition to the ActiveGrip lineup. This model features the same dimensions of Anton’s previous signature model - .595” (5B) diameter, 16 ¾” length and now includes ActiveGrip finish.

The short taper, large round bead, and large dimensions of this stick allow for the high sound projection Anton requires in his live performances.

The Anton Fig ActiveGrip 595 will have an RRP of £16.59 and will be available in the UK from March 1st.
