Meinl introduces new cymbal tuners and Pure Alloy, Artist Concept models

Luke Holland, Anika Nilles, Matt Garstka and Thomas Lang all have new Artist Concept cymbals.

Meinl has unveiled a host of new products, including new a new cymbal tuner, a Pure Alloy cymbal range, and new Artist Concept models from four notable drummers.

First up, the new Meinl Pure Alloy cymbals are described as “a timeless voice with an effortless touch and clean sound, allowing drummers to express themselves in virtually any style”. They feature a velvety wash, combined with a full tonal spectrum, extending through all dynamic levels.

The hi-hats cover all dynamics from a quick, responding staccato to slight sizzle, to a full bodied energy. The crashes are filled with highs, mids and lows, followed by a medium to long sustain. Finally, the rides push your sound with an upfront mix, cushioned by fundamental lows, along with a cutting bell.

Pricing and specs are as follows:

By positioning the Cymbal Tuners in different spots on the surface, you can control the sustain, dampen the tone, adjust the volume, and optimise the sound of your cymbal to just the way you like it.

Meinl’s Cymbal Tuners have an RRP of £16.60.

Meinl has also introduced four new Artist Concept Models, expressing the cymbal voices of Luke Holland, Anika Nilles, Matt Garstka and Thomas Lang.

They are the products of Meinl Cymbal Artists and the Meinl R&D team, to “craft unique and innovative sounds that allow the artist to explore, create and forge ahead as leaders in acoustic music and in the art of drumming”.
