Korg launches monologue synth, KingKORG black model and more

The monologue's expanded step sequencer allows for more intuitive and complex editing.

The monologue is a 25-key, fully programmable monophonic analogue synthesizer that comes in five different colours.

Korg has unveiled an array of new products, including a monophonic analogue synthesizer called the monologue.

The monologue is the next-generation monophonic synthesizer that shares the spirit of the acclaimed minilogue, with a completely new voice and powerful new features.

The monologue is a 25-key, fully programmable monophonic analogue synthesizer sharing its sleek layout, knob-per-function workflow and high-quality construction with the best-selling minilogue. The monologue is a truly unique new synth for all types of musicians; featuring new voicing and sound sculpting abilities.

The monologue's completely new filter, modulation, drive, and LFO can generate powerful basses and sharp leads, creating awesome mono sounds that showcase its single-voice design.

The step sequencer has also been dramatically expanded, allowing more intuitive and more complex editing. It also comes in a choice of five eye-catching colours.

Along with the monologue, Korg has also unveiled a black model of its KingKORG synthesizer.

The KingKORG faithfully reproduces the ways in which the oscillator and filter of an analogue synthesizer can change, giving you freedom to shape your sound. A diverse range of synth sounds can be covered by this single instrument.

Korg has also introduced the Pitchblack Advance – the next-generation model of its pedal tuner for guitarists and bassists.

Featuring a slanted design, the Pitchblack Advance retains the toughness that is characteristic of the series, in spite of becoming even lighter in weight. The display features high-brightness colour LEDs, nearly doubling the size of the note name display and providing more visibility. Whether you're on a dimly lit stage or outdoors in bright sunlight, this display will always be easy to read.

The Pitchblack Advance isn’t the only new tuner from Korg. The firm has also unveiled the CA-2 chromatic tuner – ideal for brass band and orchestra use – as well as the CA-2 guitar and bass tuner, which is now even easier to use thanks to its large note/string display.

Last but not least, Korg has launched the new BEATLAB mini – a training tool for drummers and percussionists. It lets you practise rhythm more accurately and comes with a versatile metronome function with a wide range of sounds, including human voice and real drum sounds.

The unit provides a training function that detects and evaluates the discrepancy between the metronome and the notes that you play. This means that you can develop a perfect sense of rhythm by using by treating rhythm training as if you were playing a game.
