TC Electronic has announced its next generation Flashback Delay and Looper – the X4.
The Flashback X4 (£195) offers 12 delay types, plus four TonePrint slots. Other features include full TonePrint functionality, including the ability to beam TonePrints from a smartphone; three presets, a dedicated tap tempo and expression pedal input.??
Completing the package is a 40-second looper with ‘undo’ function, and guaranteed optimal signal integrity via a True Bypass signal path that can also be switched to buffered bypass if required.
"Flashback X4 is the pedal we simply had to do,” said Tore Mogensen, product manager for guitar at TC Electronic. “I think we’ve proven over the years that innovation, quality and delivering products that make a difference matters most to us. It still does and it always will.
"Lots of the players we speak to use Flashback Delay and it turned out that presets on a delay pedal was a big deal for guitarists. We took that and added to it all of our knowledge, heritage and love for delays – from the famous 2290 to beautiful tape-echoes – and poured it into Flashback X4.
