Avian unveils new acoustic guitar line-up for 2017

The new range was designed by US luthiers Michael Bashkin and Harry Fleishmann.

Avian has introduced its acoustic guitar range for 2017, which includes five new models.

The new fowl-themed line-up is made up of the Dove, Songbird, Skylark (pictured), Ibis and Falcon.

All five models will be available in Standard and Deluxe versions, with the Songbird, Skylark and Ibis also coming in a multi-scale, fan-fret design.

All models are electro-acoustic, come fitted with BBand pickups, built with hand-selected tonewoods, and feature new logos and branding.

The Avian 2017 range was designed by US luthiers Michael Bashkin and Harry Fleishmann, and all guitars include an AA-grade solid Sitka spruce top.

For the back and sides of each model, guitarist can choose from solid Indian rorsewood or solid mahogany, with the Deluxe series offering a third choice – solid maple.

There’s also a choice to have the Avian Demi-Cutaway on the Standard Songbird, Skylark and Ibis. And the Deluxe series adds a Ryan-style arm bevel.

Pricing for the Standard series starts at £1,175, and £1,360 for the Deluxe series.
