Similar to the BG250 combo, new bass head lets users 'beam' signature effects from their phone to the amp.
TC Electronic is launching the BH250, its most compact bass amp yet at Summer NAMM in Nashville this week.
It is also the first head in the company's Bass Amp 2.0 range to feature the company's revolutionary TonePrint concept.
Like the BG250 combo – released at Musikmesse 2012 – the BH250 lets iPhone or Android users 'beam' signature bass effects using the free TonePrint app. This is done by placing the speaker of the device over the bass' magnetic pickup. The amp can also be hooked up to a PC or Mac, allowing the customer to download the effects via USB.
Weighing just four pounds and small enough to fit in a gig bag pocket, the BH250 offers 250 Watts of power and a built-in tuner that works on four and six-string instruments.
Its Tone Control section might look pretty standard at first glance, but each knob will react differently whether it's being used for cutting or boosting. The controls have been accurately tailored to give bass players exactly what they are looking for when tweaking the Bass, Mid and Treble knobs.
Available in October, the BH250 will have a UK RRP of £245.
