Eco credentials

Paulownia is an indigenous Chinese timber, known for its fast growing, regenerative, plantation-managed cultivation.

Eco-friendly guitar manufacturer extends Green Series with new 12-string model.

Mariner Guitars has released the Vertys-SJ-12, the latest addition to its Green Series of sustainable solid wood guitars.

An electro-acoustic 12-string, the new model features a Super Jumbo body. Built from solid paulownia, the guitar’s eco credentials separate it from other premium acoustic 12-strings on the market. A hard wood with a distinctive timbre, paulownia is an indigenous Chinese timber, known for its fast growing, regenerative, plantation-managed cultivation.

The guitar is equipped a nato neck, sonokeling fingerboard and bridge and a solid spruce top. The sonokeling bound fingerboard has a 628 mm scale length for comfortable playability and is inlaid with Mother of Pearl fret markers. Premium mini die cast machine heads provide smooth and accurate tuning. A built-in tuner is a feature of the Fishman PreSys + on board pre-amp and EQ/under saddle pick-up system.

The guitar is offered in gloss natural finish or a vintage Blues Era Brownburst, and carries an RRP of £495.
