Yamaha has promoted Darren Power to the newly created position of senior manager within its Pro Music Division, which means he will now be responsible for dealer marketing activities, but will also retain his sales management duties.
This appointment is part of Yamaha’s new focus on local dealer marketing support, which looks at improving in-store point of sale, training and co-operative, co-ordinated advertising and PR activities.
Darren Power is a highly experienced sales and marketing professional, having spent over 20 years as part of the manufacturer’s Pro-Music Division.
"More then ever we need to better share our marketing expertise, muscle and brand benefits with our dealer partners,” said Power. “Our responsibility extends well beyond simply invoicing the product.”
“We have already introduced a range of highly effective initiatives to increase sell-through and continue to build end user loyalty. I am very much looking forward to developing our Pulse store programme and expanding the superb guitar 'Time Line' in-store POS display."
