Lee Worsley has sold his shareholding in Active Music Distribution to fellow shareholder Paul Hagen and has left the company.
Hagen will now run Active on a day to day basis, with Dayne Marshall continuing as a ‘sleeping’ partner, based in South Africa.
Since its inception in 1999, Active Music has represented brands including Meinl, Ludwig, Vater and Alpine.
Worsley stated: “I am immensely proud of what we have achieved at Active Music in the past 14 years. From a near standing start we have developed Active Music into a strong distribution business, with an excellent portfolio of brands, all of which have seen growth, even during the more recent tough trading climate”

He continued: “I have reached a point personally where it is the right time for me to move onto new ventures and challenges, but I would like to wish Paul and the Active Music team every success as they move the business forward. I would also like to thank our customers, suppliers and both present and past employees who have all been a part of Active Music’s success and growth”
Paul Hagen added: “With more and more signs of recovery in the general economy apparent every day, now is the time to push Active Music forward to continue to build our brands in the marketplace. More news will be forthcoming over the next few days as we make the changes to take the company forward. In the meantime I would like to wish Lee every success for the future.”
